Design is not decoration, but function: How not to turn an office into a “work box”
Brno-based studio Futured creates apps for the real needs of both business and the people who use them. For them, precise code and polished design are inseparable. They approached their new offices in the Vlněna complex with the same mindset: not as a backdrop, but as a space that holds their culture together, supports collaboration, and gives people a reason to come in.

Local creation instead of catalog gray
At Futured, they avoid corporate gray, prioritizing relationships and local creation over unified, catalog-bought solutions. So, when the architects from Perspektiv studio suggested using recycled plastic from Plastic guys for the interior, the reaction was unanimous.
“We were jumping for joy because we know Plastic guys and are big fans. Perspektiv has a very good feel for us, so the spot-on choice was no surprise,” describes Simona Sádecká, Head of People & Culture.
Custom texture: White Dalmatian with a touch of orange
The centerpieces of the common areas became the bar counter and conference table made from Mínus® panels. For this project, we used the “White Dalmatian” texture from our catalog and created a special variant with a subtle blend of orange fragments.
This detail was no accident—the color orange permeates the entire interior concept and references Futured’s visual identity. This “subtle highlight” brings playfulness and structure to the space, humanizing the company’s technological confidence. It actually fits perfectly into their “fun & tasty” vibe (referencing their original name, The Funtasty), which they love to carry with them into every new space.

Sustainability as a natural element, not a lecture
For Futured, sustainability isn’t a topic for moralizing, but a natural part of high-quality design. This is confirmed by the reactions of both employees and clients. People notice the material immediately, but the story of 100% recycling only comes second.
“People notice it, they often ask about it and touch it. So far, no one has realized it’s a recycled material. First, it’s a design detail, then a story. And that suits us perfectly. We are showing that sustainability can be a natural part of design,” Simona adds.

A result without compromises
The new Futured space is proof that when a tech studio, visionary architects, and local manufacturers join forces, a place with immense energy is born. A place where software meets sustainable “hardware” and where even the smallest orange fragment in a recycled board makes sense as part of the whole.
